At Wíyouŋkihipi Productions, we are dedicated to uplifting and supporting the community through the teachings of Wodakota — balance, harmony, and peace. Our mission is to create a platform for Oceti Sakowin voices to thrive, sharing cultural knowledge and wisdom with future generations through events, books, and free resources.
As a resource hub, we focus on publishing children’s books that celebrate Dakota/Lakota culture and language, while also organizing community events that highlight the values and teachings of Wodakota. These efforts provide meaningful tools for families, educators, and learners of all ages, fostering deeper connections to Indigenous culture and traditions.
Through storytelling, education, and community-building, we aim to amplify Dakota stories, nurture cultural pride, and inspire future generations to carry these teachings forward. Thank you for being a part of this journey to preserve and share the beauty of Dakota culture.

About the Exhibition
Native Voices of Power is a January 2026 exhibition celebrating Indigenous strength, creativity, and cultural fire, curated by Marlena Myles (Spirit Lake Dakota). The show uplifts artwork and poetry that reflect the many sources of Native power — land, ancestors, ceremony, language, community, imagination, and the inner fire that continues to move through our nations.
We invite Native artists and poets to share work that expresses cultural strength in all its forms: quiet or fierce, ancestral or emergent, grounded in land or lifted by vision. This exhibition creates a space where our stories amplify one another, showing how creativity becomes strength and how art becomes a living expression of cultural continuance.
Submissions
• All ages and experience levels welcome: up to 2 pieces. Artists handle any sales.
• All visual mediums are eligible: painting, drawing, sculpture, poetry, photography, beadwork, fashion, textiles, regalia-inspired pieces, carving, digital art, animation, video, installation, mixed media, and more.
Application deadline: December 26, 2025
Artwork drop-off/delivery window: December 27–January 1
All submissions must be from artists or poets who are enrolled members or acknowledged descendants of federally recognized and officially State recognized tribes, in accordance with the Indian Arts and Crafts Act (IACA) of 1990.
